Which tasks would you hand to an agent?

Over lunch, take the tasks off your own desk that you would hand to an AI agent — and describe them well enough that an agent could actually take them over.

Choose tasks that are

  1. Yours — and you do them often (weekly or more)
  2. Digital in, digital out — no phone calls, no paper, no meetings
  3. Built on data you can already access

For every task, answer all three parts

  1. 1. Describe it in one line

    One sentence a colleague outside your team would understand.

  2. 2. Structure it: retrieve → analyse → output

    Where the context comes from (mailbox, folder, spreadsheet, internal system), what the process should be (classify, check, compare, reconcile, decide), and what output or action ends it (report, deck, drafted email, updated record — and where it lands).

  3. 3. Define what good looks like

    The rules you follow, the format you always use, an example of a good result, and the edge cases that trip people up.

Answer template

Copy this format and repeat it for each task.

TASK 1
One line: Monthly headcount & turnover pack for the management meeting.
Retrieve: Headcount export + leaver list from the HRIS; last month's deck from the shared drive.
Analyse:    Headcount by department vs. budget, turnover rate, rolling 12-month trend;
            flag any department moving more than 3 points.
Output: Update the standing 6-slide deck, write the commentary, save to the shared drive.
Good is:    Same slide order every month; commentary is 3 bullets in plain language, no jargon;
            every number traceable back to the export.

TASK 2
One line:   ...
Retrieve:   ...
Analyse:    ...
Output:     ...
Good is:    ...
